High-Health Genetics
At BoarMax you can choose from multiple genetic lines offered by nationally recognized companies. These leading genetics companies are continually striving to make genetic advances. Genetic improvement is paramount for production results and optimal return on investment.
Custom Packaging
From the time BoarMax semen is collected until it reaches our customer, our team takes great care in maintaining quality and viability. Our custom packaging completely seals the semen to protect it from damage and contamination during the storage and delivery process. All semen is stored in our specialized cooler and transferred to a remote, biosecure depot prior to delivery. Custom-packaged semen is placed in a digitally controlled cooler until it arrives at the farm.
Delivery Excellence
At BoarMax, our goal is to “Never Miss” a delivery. We utilize a fleet of delivery vehicles and maintain an experienced team of drivers to guarantee our products are delivered on-time, every time. Our transportation department has experience arranging the best delivery routes across the U.S. Ninety-five percent of BoarMax products are hand delivered, although, customers also have the option of choosing alternative commercial deliveries.
OUR SERVICES
Isolation
Boars arrive at our isolation facilities where they undergo a thorough health screening and vaccination protocol

Transition Room
After isolation, screening diagnostics and vaccinations, boars move into a transition room for 3 to 21 days for another round of health screenings. The transition room uses a separate HEPA filtration system and waste removal from the main stud population.
Production
Semen is collected approximately once per week from each boar. Semen is collected in sealed containers which are then transported through a vacuum tube directly to our on-site lab

Quality Control & Analysis
After receiving the semen, a lab technician analyzes the collection for sperm concentration, motility and morphology. The technician also takes a bacteria culture sample to check for any contaminants. On average, 5 to 10 percent of semen collected will not be extended or sold because it does not meet BoarMax’s high standards for quality.
Packaging
Semen approved for delivery is sealed in either an individual tube, individual bag or bulk bag and stored in a 64-degree cool room

Delivery
Packaged semen ready for transport is placed in a digitally-controlled cooler and loaded into one of our disinfected, delivery vehicles. To reduce risk of disease transfer, delivery drops are off-site from customer operations.
