OUR TEAM
Dr. Stephen Patterson, D.V.M.
Founder & Owner
Dr. Patterson graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree and has devoted his career to swine health and production. In addition to founding BoarMax in 1996, Dr. Patterson also owns and operates Passion for Pigs Service, LLC in Shelbina, Missouri and is founder of the “Passion for Pigs” seminar and trade show.
Austin Otto
General Manager
As general manager, Austin oversees the barn and lab facilities at each of our three BoarMax locations. Austin has been with BoarMax since 2003 and is assisted by a team of barn technicians who are held to strict cleanliness and safety standards to ensure high-quality semen.
Sharon Sparks
Admin Assistant
Sharon manages the daily office and human resource operations for BoarMax. Sharon has been with BoarMax since 2006 and has 28 years of experience in agricultural industry banking.
Bev Otto
Transportation Manager
Bev manages a team of delivery drivers to ensure that semen orders arrive on time and at the proper temperature. Bev has been with BoarMax since 2003.
